Idea

ESG compass – a conversation starter between DZ Privatbank’s consultants and their clients to help make their investment greener. We wanted to have a platform dedicated to ESG investing, to break the prejudice many of the Bank’s conservative clientele might have, all while demonstrating that they don’t have to compromise on profitability to do good for society and the planet.

Non-linear Storytelling

The storyline is non-linear, so visitors can jump between scenes depending on what they’re interested in. Each topic can then be further explored through an overlay where visitors can receive further information without having to leave the main page.

The A-Z of Sustainability

Almost every aspect of ESG investment is discussed and supported with empirical data, from a basic introduction, to the criteria applied from DZ Privatbank, to showcasing opportunities as well as risks that could arise with complete transparency.

Aesthetic-Driven

Clean and modern look with touches of gold and green to fit with DZ Privatbank’s premium offering. Every scene was crafted by hand to visualize the balance between profitability and sustainability in an emotionally appealing manner.

Bespoke Digital Experience

Bank consultants could personalise the coin and engrave it with the name of the customer, making the web experience more personal and allowing customers to feel even more connected to their ESG investments.

Technical Execution

Optimized without compromise

The 3D content was developed using PlayCanvas. This enabled us to display high resolution graphics, even though we use comparatively small amounts of data. This is done using real-time 3D rendering.By integrating the seven scenes into one large 3D scene, we can easily create continuous tracking shots, without having to use separate videos that may not fit together seamlessly.  In addition, the 3D layer has a mini-API which allows the user to interact with the content in a meaningful way. This makes it possible to trigger camera movements in the 3D content, offering users an immersive experience.
